CONTACT US
Our class suggestions are based on factors such as the previous year's enrollment, teacher assessment, ability, and what we believe is the best fit for your continued dance training progression. Unsure where to start? Give us a call at (604) 892-5500.
Registration starts in early Summer and is available until the first week of school. For late registration, we accept on a case-by-case basis new students until December.
For competitive dancers, we ask that you register before mid-July to allow our staff to plan our dance schedule better.
Our school year runs from September to June. Students must make a full year's commitment as the program is ongoing. All programs are based on the entire year – not by the individual class or by month.
Tuition Fee (Quarterly Payments)
We understand the importance of financial convenience and found that quarterly payments were the best for most of our dancing families. Please note that quarterly payments do not signify the beginning or end of a “session.”, but rather more of a simple payment plan that allows you to forecast costs in your calendar (payment dates are decided and shared with all student families as soon as they register through our online portal).
Online payment is required for the first, second, third, and fourth quarters. Payments are made automatically through automatic bank withdrawals.
Cancellations
We know that life sometimes requires us to change our schedules and planning, and while we are sad to lose any student throughout the year, we understand that life can get in the way. Regarding cancellations, we simply request that you notify us in writing one week before the respective quarterly fee due date.
Please note that we cannot accept word of mouth or non-attendance as a notification. Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds for the remainder of the quarter if you choose to withdraw partway through. This policy applies to partial classes as well.
Dance Class Dress Requirements
Each class has its own requirements for their dress code. We suggest you look at your online portal to determine what is required for your student's first day.
If you need to shop, we do love to encourage local businesses:
Kaos Kids (38068 Cleveland Ave, Squamish, BC V8B 0B5)
Duct Feet (1079 Marine Dr, North Vancouver, BC V7P 1S6)
If you need help, don't hesitate to speak to your dance teacher or call our school.
Yearly Performances
Throughout the year, each dance class creates its own performance in preparation for our year-end show (usually planned for the end of May). Our students work hard all year to showcase their skills and talent during our year-end show at the Eagle Eye Theatre.
IMPORTANT
Please ensure that you do not plan any holidays during the last week of May and the first week of June, as we know your students will be more than proud to showcase their learnings. (You can always ask us for the exact dates to avoid schedule conflicts!)
Costumes
With performances come costumes! We are so excited each year to curate the most gorgeous outfits for our students. While we do our best to keep student costumes fee at their lowest, we still require parents to pay for their final dance costume.
We typically charge $75 for non-competitive classes and $85 for competitive dance classes. Please note that if your child is attending more than one class, you are required to pay the costume fee per class.
Exams and Accreditation Classes
Our exam classes follow a set syllabus, and students can take yearly exams. This requires a more serious student who can commit to extra practice when required. All competitive students will require extra practice, and it is realistic to expect 3-8 extra classes to be required.
School accreditation is available for certain exams. If you see professional dancers and think, "That's what I want to do!" This might be the type of discipline for you.
Non-Competitive and Non-Exam Classes
Our non-competitive and non-exam classes are for students who want to dance but cannot commit to extra practice. Our school year runs from September to June, and students must make a full year’s commitment as the program is ongoing.
